Every year, Nicos personally designs and leads five or six private expeditions for very small groups, limited to a maximum of six travellers.

Over more than three decades of exploration, he has travelled extensively through some of the world’s most extraordinary and remote regions, building the first-hand knowledge and local relationships essential to creating truly exceptional journeys.

Africa is home. Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe are destinations Nicos returns to almost every year, continuously exploring new areas, camps and experiences. For those looking to venture further, highly personalised expeditions can be arranged to some of the continent’s most remote regions — from Ethiopia’s Omo Valley and Danakil Depression to Dzanga-Sangha in the Central African Republic and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These journeys can be designed entirely around the individual traveller, even as a private expedition for one.

Beyond Africa, the polar regions hold a particular fascination. Expeditions include exploring the Svalbard archipelago by private boat and travelling deep into Antarctica, where an extraordinary remote camp provides a base from which to experience one of the last true wildernesses on Earth.

In South America, Chile, Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands are among the destinations explored most extensively, combining exceptional landscapes, wildlife and carefully selected experiences away from the obvious routes.

The Indian subcontinent and the Himalayas offer an entirely different dimension of exploration. Nicos has a particular passion for the remote Himalayan regions of Ladakh, Kumaon and Sikkim, where spectacular trekking routes lead through pristine landscapes, isolated valleys and communities rarely encountered by conventional travellers.
